Sweetie darling! Ab Fab’s back!

Absolutely Fabulous

The essential Absolutely Fabulous ensemble – Jennifer Saunders, Joanna Lumley, Julia Sawalha, June Whitfield and Jane Horrocks – is reuniting for three 20th Anniversary specials. These are the first new episodes since “White Box” aired seven years ago, and we can hardly wait to see which of the world’s latest obsessions will spawn the next classic one-liners from Jennifer Saunders. Most of all, we’re looking forward to more of Patsy and Edina. As Jennifer described their special chemistry in a Radio Times interview: “When I’m being Edina and Joanna [Lumley, of course] becomes Patsy, I think there’s no happier place to be, because it’s total escape. It must be, for us, like meditation is for other people.”

BBC America will run the first special on Sunday, January 8. (Canadian broadcast details are not yet known.) The DVD will have to wait until after the summer to include the third special, which is inspired by the 2012 Olympics hosted in London. Until then, the next best thing is Absolutely Fabulous: Absolutely Everything, whether you’re catching up on the whole hilarious saga, or snagging the perfect gift for the fashionista or fashion victim on your list.

Thanks to all of you who have posted holiday memories and greetings on our Facebook page!

Thank God ! the girls are back. My, how you have been missed.Your humor, your fashion its all been such a bloody bore with out Ab Fab .

  2. Dena says:

My favorite show is Mistresses it rocks. Also, AbFab which I hope they start a whole new season.

  3. Garrett Ann Dent says:

I agree, I love these girls and relate to Edina. To me they are laugh out loud funny.

  4. Deborah says:

It won’t work whtiout a laugh track. How this show ever became a hit is beyond me. Then again the Brits operate on a whole other level than we do, as do the Canadians with their inexplicable Red/Green series which lasted 14 years.

  5. Dena says:

I don’t understand why BBC America does not have more variety. It seems Top Gear is always on. I would love to know when the second show of the new AB FAB will be aired again, since I missed it the first time. Also, I’m well aware that Mistresses have completed four seasons. I’ve only seen the first, and nothing has followed.
There are so many wonderful shows that are not aired that it is very disheartning to me and others. Three shows of the new Sherlock Holmes then nothing. I did notice one evening that there was a show on Ovation I think it was titled Book Club? I would greatly appreciate it if these questions could be answered. Thank you much

Lets get the girls back on the tellie! I would be so grateful to see more AbFab. Also I seem to remember a show that titled ended with Glen, about a Scotish family living in a family castle where their son tries to keep it going. It’s been so long now….why can’t we get these wonderful programs on TV here in Anerica? There is only one channel dedicated to BBC America, loaded with commercials, unlike BBC! Please lets get it together and have more BBC programs available on TV here, they speak ENGLISH!!!! Get with it America.

  7. Dena Mistrakis says:

This show was so funny, it was wonderful to see the gals back on the air again. I haven’t a clue why Sassie was in jail, and look forward to seeing her little girl again. But Adenda is just a remarkable actress combinded with her gal pal Patsy just slay me, and have for years. We need more of this and I truly hope we get it. I’m sure these women do other shows which I wish I could see, Patsy I have seen in Dr. Willoughby, also funny. Give us more these women rock!!!

  8. Dena says:
