Entertain your entire family with films featuring magnificent stories and spectacular performances from Masterpiece Theatre. Four wonderful family classics adapted from British literature fill a heartwarming collection ready to be adored by generations. In Carrie’s War, 14-year-old Carrie (Keeley Fawcett, At Home with the Braithwaites) and her younger brother are evacuated from war-torn London to a small Welsh village at the start of World War II. Martin Clunes (Shakespeare in Love) stars in Goodbye, Mr. Chips, the story that tenderly traces 50 years in the life of a beloved English schoolmaster. Pollyanna is a new adaptation of the timeless tale that shows how a little positive thinking can make a big difference. The Railway Children stars Jenny Agutter (MI-5) as Mrs. Waterbury, a suddenly single upper-middle-class Victorian mother with three young children who must learn to fend for themselves in the Yorkshire countryside.
