Cheerful and eminently sensible, Precious coolly investigates cases from missing children to philandering husbands and scheming con-artists. The Big Bonanza - Mma Ramotswe continues to act as the sole investigator for The No. 1 Ladies Detective Agency but her business is floundering financially. Her secretary Mma Makutsi develops a flier to drum up business with good results. New cases include a disturbed dentist, a missing dog and a vanishing husband.

Poison - Mma Ramotswe is asked to investigate the owner of a local curio shop, which leads to her finding herself caught between a feuding family and a case of ivory smuggling, as she also investigates a possible poisoner. At a hospital, patients are dying at the same time each week, and Mma Makutsi is entrusted with the task of finding this possible serial killer!

The Boy With an African Heart - Mrs Curtin comes to Mma Ramotsweto asking her to help find her son who disappeared ten years ago. Mma Ramotswe is unsure whether he is dead or alive, and begins digging up the past, uncovering some shocking truths about the circumstances surrounding the missing child. Meanwhile Mma Makutsi is keen to prove herself as a detective, attempting to solve a series of break-ins at Kgale hill.

Problems With Moral Philosophy - A new client, Mma Pekwane, comes to Mma Romotswe saying she suspects that the car her husband bought was stolen. She offers some creative advice to her new client, which involves becoming involved in auto theft, which is bound to lead to disaster. Meanwhile, Mma Makutsi embarks on her first case as Assistant Detective, which turns out to be more eventful than expected - involving an undercover operation, which leads to a high-speed car chase!

Beauty and Integrity - Mma Makutsi investigates the behaviour of contestants in a local beauty pageant, while Mma Ramotswe has trouble solving the case of Nandira Patel's mystery boyfriend. To make things worse, the contemptible Cephas Buthelezi opens a rival agency and is intent on taking the ladies down

A Real Botswana Diamond - The No.1 Ladies are the latest victims of the Kgale Hill Break-ins and Mma Ramotswe and JLB Matekoni's engagement is not going as smoothly as expected. Note Mokoti's return, fake diamonds and Cephas Buthelezei's ruthless attempt at blackmail, forces Mma Ramotswe to face her demons before she can move on.
