Welcome back to the rougher side of Yorkshire, where clinical psychologist Dr. Tony Hill taps into his own dark side in the pursuit of serial killers. In four fast-paced episodes, Tony (Robson Green, Reckless) and his partner, Detective Inspector Alex Fielding (Simone Lahbib, Monarch of the Glen), race to profile the abductor of a young girl before it's too late. How many people participated in the ritual murders of two teenagers? Why are two rape and murder victims dressed in the clothes of other women killed years ago? And how to stop the killer-or killers-of vulnerable older women? See if you can out-psych the doctor in this popular BBC series, based on characters in Val McDermid's best-selling novels.

The Colour of Amber
First aired: 7/11/ Fielding launches a public appeal - an Amber alert - while Dr Tony Hill builds a profile of the likely suspect. A distraught mother identifies the missing child as her daughter, and police arrest a paedophile who lives on the same estate, but there are no leads, until the body of a young girl is discovered.

Nocebo
The bodies of a teenage girl and a young boy are discovered, bearing the apparent hallmarks of ritual killings, drawing Alex Fielding and Tony Hill into the world of black magic. Several suspects are identified, but is voodoo magic being used to frustrate the investigation?

The Names of Angels
The bodies of two women found in Bradfield had been raped and strangled. Both are wearing clothes and carrying identification belonging to two other women, killed years earlier on the continent. DI Fielding and Tony Hill find connections with local businessmen, but might they the victims of identity fraud. Tony receives a visit from a recently-released killer, while Alex asks him to help with her son.

Anything You Can Do
An elderly woman is suffocated in her own home. DI Fielding and Tony Hill stage a public meeting and suspect a security guard with a dysfunctional relationship with his own mother. Similar murders follow, showing increasing daring but with sufficient differences to suggest that there are two murderers at large. Psychologist Jonathan Goode arrives and drives a wedge between his old friend and Alex.
